Anil Khopkar is founder director of Mentwiser Services, a company with focus on mentoring growth poised, medium-sized enterprises. Mentwiser’s vision is to support these enterprises for accelerated growth with strategic inputs and initiatives and hand hold them through the journey towards excellence. It provides services in the areas of Business Process Management, technology enabled operations, technology selection and Program Management.

Anil was Vice President (Management Information Services) and CIO at Bajaj Auto, the Pune based automotive major, for 15 years. He also oversaw IT functions of Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finsol companies of Bajaj Finserv, Pune. He is a Mechanical Engineer from College of Engineering – Pune (1978), and MBA from Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad (1980), and has worked in the manufacturing industry for 32+ years, initially in the areas of production control / industrial engineering and then moved to IT.

He led the ambitious Bajaj Auto project to implement SAP ERP and subsequent extensions to Business Information Warehouse, Enterprise Portal, Optimisation, SRM, CRM and domestic and export Channel Management. The project was completed within budget and time. They also used ERPs like NAV for their dealerships operations.

Anil also led the Bajaj Finance transformational project to implement FinnOne core platform, customer acquisition, dues collection, CRM and Business Information Systems. This project was also completed within budget and time. As Chief Information Officer, Anil managed the complete IT portfolio of Bajaj Auto (1998- 2013), demonstrated an excellent track record in driving technology orientation in business processes, aligning business and IT initiatives, and re-engineering business processes. He significantly contributed to build state-of-the-art IT systems and nimble infrastructure in these large enterprises. He had proven distinction in IT management and governance.

Anil has excellent knowledge and experience in business processes and systems implementation in technology-enabled operations. And his participation in automotive industry initiatives cover a broad range of business areas that include Lean Manufacturing, JIT / Kanban, Total Quality Management (TQM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Customer Centric Service Management, Dealerships and Global Channel Management, and Product Life-cycle Management (PLM). Anil has also pioneered the use of barcode and RFID technologies in manufacturing and supply chain domains.
